StreamSwitch E1c
The StreamSwitch E1c is the industry's only network controlled UTP cable disruption tester. The E1c was designed for development and test engineers to verify error recovery algorithms.

The StreamSwitch E1c features:

Web interface
Enables easy setup of test parameters

Manual test button
For ad-hoc testing

Fast 100ms switching speed
Manual cable break tests are limited by the dexterity of the human conducting the tests. The StreamSwitch E1c is able to make or break a connection with 100ms resolution. Automated test scripts can dictate exactly when the network disconnection / connection will happen during the test sequence.

Windows and Linux command line interface
Allows automated test scripts to control and configure E1c. Test scripts can disrupt the flow of data or make a cable break at predetermined times. Combined with the fast transition speed, test engineers can reliably reproduce error conditions during triage and debugging.

Test statistics
Test engineers can monitor the progress of test cycles.

Field upgradable firmware

Control over individual twisted pairs
Category 5/6 UTP cables consist of 4 pairs of conductors. The E1c can connect / disconnect each of these 4 pairs independantly, enabling much more complext tests such as asymetric breaks and a simulated "cable wiggle" test.

Command Line Interface
Through the Command Line Interface, the StreamSwitch E1c may be controlled using existing automated testing tools. The command line tool is available for Unix shell script or Windows batch file automation.

Automatic Test Restart
The StreamSwitch E1c remembers the last run test configuration and can automatically start running that test upon reset. Test enables test engineers to quickly set up and start running system tests without connecting a StreamSwitch management console.
